Concrete Shield Coating® Flake Floor Application Process.

Concrete Shield Coating® is applied using a hybrid, moisture-blocking epoxy primer, followed by decorative color flakes, and finished with a durable polyespartic topcoat. This process has been time-tested and proven to last for decades.

Concrete Shield Coating® is a commercial-grade, permanent floor coating system designed to be a long-lasting, cost-effective alternative to standard floor paint.

The application process for Concrete Shield Coating® involves five steps. We begin by repairing all cracks in the floor, then diamond-grind the entire surface. After grinding, we ensure the floor is completely free of dust and debris.

Next, we apply Part A, the first coat of Concrete Shield Coating®, which is a moisture-blocking, slow-drying hybrid epoxy primer. This primer prevents future failure caused by moisture migrating up through the slab. After applying the primer, we broadcast the colored flakes.

Once cured, we scrape and remove all excess flakes and ensure the surface is clean and even. The final step is applying Part B of Concrete Shield Coating®, a non-yellowing, durable polyaspartic topcoat. We believe this proven process is the best way to achieve a finish that remains strong and beautiful for decades.
